The Ricochet.com editor in chief shares a killer Oscar prediction and an inconvenient truth about George Clooney.

Jon Gabriel doesn’t sling mud like some media pundits. His hits are more effective, relying on facts over name calling. It’s not an accident. He grew up in a bipartisan home. The political battles were pitched, no doubt. They also ended with smiles, not bitter feelings.

Gabriel brings that approach to his current gig as Editor in Chief of the right-leaning Ricochet.com. He also co-hosts “The Conservatarians” Podcast with Stephen Miller.

The HiT ‘cast spoke to Gabriel about his curious path to media stardom, why George Clooney is like an overhyped baseball player and one Oscar prediction which may be coming true already.

The debate for stricter gun laws erupted almost immediately after the mass shooting in Las Vegas took the lives of more than 50 people, but many disagree on what type of regulation would be effective.
Jon Gabriel, editor-in-chief for Ricochet, told Arizona Horizon that gun laws should be evaluated regularly to make sure they serve a purpose. “What I don’t like is the government making changes for the sake of ‘let’s just do something,” said Gabriel, “even if it ends up having adverse effects.”
Gabriel believes the best way to pass purposeful legislation is to look into what causes the majority of gun violence. The most common form of gun violence is suicide, followed by domestic violence and gang-related violence.
